Prime Appointments Looking for Project Engineer at Harwich, Essex Full Time

A reputable chemical manufacturing company are looking to recruit a Project Engineer for their site based in Harwich. The successful candidate will take a leading role in the design, implementation, and operation of industrial wastewater treatment.

Duties:

• Coordinate the design and delivery of a new water treatment plant
• Operational responsibility to maintain effective performance of the plant
• Single point of contact for the plant
• Reporting directly to the site operations management
• Taking the lead on scheme designs, interfacing with design and construction contractors

Experience required:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent in Chemical, Environmental, or other relevant engineering discipline
• Project management and commercial awareness
• Experience within civil engineering would be advantageous
• Experience in minimising treatment costs and maintaining compliance with discharge consents
• Previous experience in the commissioning of treatment processes on site
• Involvement in a client facing role
• Knowledge of wet chemistry/laboratory techniques
• Good understanding of bio-chemical wastewater treatment processes
