Main Duties & Responsibilities
Manage the recruitment process using NHS Jobs and other approved recruitment platforms, including assisting managers in the preparation of job descriptions, person specifications and interview questions;
Ensure that all pre-employment checks are conducted in line with national NHS Employers guidelines and organisational procedures, including being the main counter signatory for processing DBS checks and applications for work-permits and leave to remain applications in accordance with UK Border Agency guidelines;
Be responsible for the accurate production of contracts of employment and contract amendments letters, to given timescales for signing by the HR manager/operations director, as appropriate;
Manage and maintain the E-Recruitment database, job files and systems, to enable efficient processing of job vacancies and applications and provide statistical data;
Respond to enquiries regarding advertised posts and ad hoc enquiries to given timeframes and standards;
Ensure completion of all induction, commencement of employment forms and probation review forms;
Issue mandatory training logins for new starters;
Be responsible for entering and updating of data to ensure that HR system (TeamNet Agilio) is regularly and accurately maintained;
Compile and create HR reports as and when required, using the HR system where possible;
Be responsible for running reports to inform decision making;
Be first point of contact for HR system queries, including monitoring the HR email boxes;
Maintain email distribution lists;
Perform file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained;
Provide support to managers in relation to sickness absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability and other HR procedures as required;
Advise managers on terms and conditions;
Assist with the development and review of HR policies and procedures;
Assist with HR projects as required;
Develop, promote and maintain constructive working relationships with managers, staff, and other HR colleagues to provide a good quality and effective HR service at all times.

About the Candidate
Essential experience:
Recruitment administration and processes;
E-Recruitment systems;
Supporting managers with HR procedures;
Experience of creating spread sheets and/or databases and using them to effectively produce reports;
Experience of working within a diverse and challenging environment, where priorities change and adjustment to working practices are made;
Providing outstanding customer service.
Desirable experience:
Previous NHS experience;
Previous experience of payroll administration and processes.
Essential qualifications:
GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
Desirable qualification:
CIPD complete or partially complete
Applicants will ideally be fully vaccinated against COVID.
