The Healthcare Practice Area Lead (PAL) is a subject matter expert in healthcare. The role requires senior strategy thought leadership across various areas of healthcare from providers, payers, and hospital networks. The expert will have a significant hand in closing business with CMO and CIO level clients by understanding relevant challenges and opportunities in each sector and turning that into actionable value creation to the client through brand improvement, digital experience innovation, performance marketing. Subject matter expertise and strategy are key to this role to understand current and future trends and how we fill that need.

Your key transformational responsibilities are:

• Build the premier Healthcare Practice in the country by using your experience and expertise to significantly grow our reputation, revenue and client list within the Healthcare practice
• Be an indispensable member of the client team, helping elevate our clients’ businesses, grow their brands and build a trusted advisory relationship

Ideal candidates have client-side experience in the healthcare industry (hospitals, health systems, insurance, etc.) as well as past consulting or agency experience focused on the healthcare sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

New Business. As one of the primary drivers of growth within the Healthcare Practice at Primacy, the Healthcare PAL will:

• • Support achievement of Primacy’s new business and client revenue goals
  • Identify proactive opportunities to pitch Primacy’s capabilities to targeted prospects while replying to RFPs and other requests for Primacy’s services.
  • Work closely with the New Business Team and other Primacy team members to identify opportunities, develop proposals and lead pitch presentations with the goal of securing new work for the company

Client Strategy. As a key part of the client team, the Healthcare PAL will:

• • Identify challenges and develop solutions for clients that support achievement of their brand and business objectives while supporting client revenue goals
  • Lead discovery and strategy opportunities on client work
  • Maintain a roster of 3-5 existing clients whose businesses you are deeply familiar with and for whom you provide ongoing consultative support.
  • Partner with the Client Services Lead to support long-term client relationships and account growth, including annual strategic planning sessions
  • Become an indispensable advisor to our Healthcare clients, building C-Level relationships, and providing ideas and insights, a point of view on trends, etc.

Practice Area Growth. As someone deeply familiar with the trends, opportunities and challenges of the Healthcare industry, the Healthcare PAL will:

• • Develop and implement an annual plan to grow the Healthcare Practice
  • Actively lead, drive and close new business opportunities in partnership with the business development team
  • Increase reputation and visibility of the Healthcare Practice
  • Lead development of thought leadership and marketing materials that convey Primacy’s expertise and attract new clients.
  • Increase industry awareness of Primacy and its strategic capabilities and services
  • Seek opportunities to share strategic thinking with the wider Healthcare industry through involvement in relevant industry organizations, speaking engagements, published articles, client roundtables, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven ability to build productive relationships with VP, SVP and C-level leaders
• 5+ years’ experience in agency or client side healthcare marketing
• Deep subject matter expertise
• Strong understanding of the trends, opportunities, and challenges in healthcare, including the role of critical technologies across the digital ecosystem
• The ability to drive a strategic and successful approach to new business opportunities
• A strategic and collaborative approach to short- and long-term client success and account growth
• An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to act both independently and as an essential, sought after, collaborative member of the internal team
• Increase awareness of Primacy and its work in Healthcare through successful client work and thought leadership efforts
• Educate internal staff on the needs and trends in Healthcare
