Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association Hiring for Grants and Education Coordinator Job at Madison, WI Full Time

PCNA’s national office is located in Madison, WI, but the position can be worked remotely.

Position Summary:

The Grants and Education Coordinator (GEC) reports to the Director of Clinical Education (DCE) and is an integral part of the PCNA Education and Grants Team. The GEC is responsible for developing and maintaining our Learning Management System, assists in grant writing and reporting, and facilitating PCNA’s abstract submission process. Oversight of educational project may be assigned.

• Non-profit and advocacy organizations

Key Responsibilities:

Learning Management System (LMS)

• Oversee all aspects of PCNA ‘s LMS including troubleshooting and improvement of efficiency and functionality
• Work closely with the LMS supplier/vendor, engaging in regular training in order to understand and implement system upgrades and submit requests, as desired, for system improvements
• Facilitate PCNA staff and end user training and understanding of LMS application
• Create reports on CE utilization, educational quality, and outcomes based on data pulled from the LMS and other sources
• Produce post-event documentation, evaluations, certificates and reporting
• Upload all web-based and on-demand educational programs to the LMS
• Help develop and maintain the LMS infrastructure for the PCNA Certificate Program(s)

Educational-related Responsibilities

• Work with the Abstract Committee and the DCE to facilitate and execute abstract submission, selection, and poster presentations
• Support AANP CE Provider-ship compliance and record-keeping: *Point person for CE questions regarding AANP policies and processes *Support the compilation and organization of the AANP biennial accreditation report
• Work closely with DCE to assist in all phases of assigned educational projects that interface with the LMS. These projects may include live virtual and recorded webinars/webcasts, live events including chapter programs and annual symposium, and certificate programs.
• Liaise with other organizations as appropriate on joint projects and activities
• Coordinate the efforts of educational project committees as assigned
• Work with CEO to oversee International Committee

Grant Submissions, Tracking and Reporting

In conjunction with the Grants and Project Coordinator to:

• Develop grants and proposals for general operating, professional or patient education, commercially sponsored events, regional events, corporate memberships, international endeavors and other PCNA activities
• Review application details/requirements, funder guidelines, project background information and draft a detailed proposal to be reviewed and approved
• Obtain cost estimates from vendors and other internal and external sources and develop budgets for each grant/proposal submission
• Determine the approximate request amount based on the maximum amount allowed by potential supporters, scope of work and discussion with the CEO and DCE
• Submit proposals and related grant materials online or via email
• Keep accurate electronic and hard copy records of approved funding submissions for audit purposes
• Ensure timely submission of initial evaluation surveys, outcomes reports (6 or 9 months) and proof of program activity to funders
• Request extension when timeline or project scope changes to remain compliant with contractual agreements
• Prepare and submit online and/or emailed budget reconciliations for grant fund expenditures along with required programmatic evaluation and outcomes reports

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in related field (health education, instructional design/technology)
• Knowledge and experience in Power-Point, data-base software, e-learning technology, webinar management, Microsoft office products including Excel
• Minimum 3 years related job experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
