The Graduate Admissions Manager (GAM) will play an exciting leadership role in Presidio Graduate School’s growth and impact. Reporting to the VP of Marketing & Admissions, they are responsible for growing Presidio’s graduate student population and revenue.
Presidio has recently embarked upon an exciting new chapter of growth and program expansion, and the GAM will play a significant role in sustaining the growth of the current MBA, Dual Degree, Graduate Academic Certificates, and Online MPA programs as well as building consistent and sustained enrollment growth in new program areas. The GAM will build/maintain efficient systems and structures to support other departments and nurture new students through their first semester.
The GAM will be responsible for meeting enrollment and revenue goals. They will rely on data to inform decision-making. The GAM will produce reports and data to analyze the department’s performance and pinpoint Presidio’s strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities. The GAM will constantly and consistently cultivate unique innovative and cutting-edge strategies and opportunities to attract prospective students.
The GAM should be passionate about advancing our vision to diversify our student body and push the boundaries on a scholarship and tuition model that holds equity at its core.
Key responsibilities
Lead a team of two part-time admissions staff and multiple volunteer admissions ambassadors.
Meet new student enrollment goals for each semester for current degree programs and new program offerings, totaling 100 new enrollments per year.
Represent Presidio and serve as the face of the school with prospective students, in addition to engaging and informing prospective students about Presidio and the benefits of a Presidio education on an individual, small, and large group basis.
Lead and facilitate virtual admissions events including virtual class visits and informational webinars..
Lead and develop a communications plan with prospective students to move them from inquiry to enrollment. Respond to 40 new inquiries/leads per week, establish contact, and build relationships to nurture those inquiries through the application and enrolling process, ensuring they start class and persist through the first add/drop date.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement a comprehensive and effective marketing plan, dynamic and differentiated messaging, and compelling materials.
Coordinate systematic and efficient handling of applications and communications with student applicants so that the process supports and honors the student and all Presidio policies.
Generate and maintain the school’s admissions data on the institution’s dashboard using our CRM and consistently analyze historical and current performance and succinctly draw conclusions and recommendations for future projections.
Build a multi-year admissions strategy with a focus on our new programs.
Lead the B2B outreach strategy, serving as the primary point of contact and pipeline owner of all Enrollment Partnership opportunities. Grow the number of Enrollment Partnerships and subsequent enrollments year over year.
Lead the DEI enrollment pipeline strategy and partner with the VP of Marketing & Admissions to build and expand a path-breaking strategy around equitable tuition that not only reimagines Presidio’s enrollment revenue but also sets a new standard for higher education institutions more broadly.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with area educational constituencies including regional and out-of-region schools, consultants, admissions directors, and mission-aligned organizations to build opportunities for partnerships that would result in enrollment growth.

Qualifications

5+ years of successful track record in recruiting, business development, and/or admissions experience in higher ed, preferably for graduate degree programs
2+ years of team and/or project management experience, including setting goals, managing performance, and providing training
Expert event coordination, calendaring, and planning skills for in-person and virtual events
2+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting enrollment data to generate sales forecasts, set pipeline conversion goals, set admissions personnel goals, and pivot strategies mid-cycle to maximize enrollments and enrollment revenue
2+ years as a CRM super user, including the design and optimization of SOPs, workflows, reports, and dashboards
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
1+ year of budgeting/bookkeeping/accounting experience
