Presbyterian Hospitality House Hiring for Accounting Support Specialist Job at Fairbanks, AK Full Time

Presbyterian Hospitality House, Alaska’s leading adolescent residential treatment program, is seeking an Accounting Support Specialist. This individual will be responsible for providing accounting assistance to the PHH Finance Manager as directed to comply with generally accepted accounting principles for non-profit entities with state regulations and requirements.

Primary Duties

• Review invoices and code purchase orders and expenses to the appropriate general ledger expense accounts
• Auditing & reconciling credit card expense receipts
• Data entry for accounts payable
• Communicate with vendors and staff to request information or answer correspondence
• Process checks to be distributed to vendors
• Providing clerical support for the Finance Manager
• Assisting with annual audit prep

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or 1-year experience in the accounting field
• Ability to maintain confidential information
• Work in a team environment
• Detail oriented
• Microsoft Office & QuickBooks skills preferred
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines
• Must be able to pass a background check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
