Premier Packaging Hiring for Warehouse Manager at Louisville, KY Full Time

Premier Packaging is currently searching for a Warehouse Manager who will oversee the Operations, Supervisors and Employees of the Warehouse Distribution center. A successful Warehouse Manager will oversee 3 shifts as an effective communicator promoting work ethic and work closely with all departments to ensure successful Distribution Warheouse. Monday – Friday, 1st shift.

Job Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Personnel Management
  • Oversee supervisor and employee evaluations
  • Ensure that supervision applies the attendance bonus and Quality Bonus Program
  • Enforce safety rules and safe place work habits on a continual basis
  • Ensure safe operation of all personnel and manage all accident investigations
  • Oversee all disciplinary efforts
• Thorough understanding of Key Performance Indicators
• Participate in the budgeting and management of the distribution center
• Ensure all audits are performed in a timely manner
• Responsible for overall unit appearance, proper warehouse stacking, adequate banding, and cleanliness with organized aisleways and storage bins

• Enforce product preservation, storage, identification, traceability, and control of nonconforming product
• Manage all transfers and customer deliveries from and to this facility
  • Requires close working relationship with both Manufacturing and the Distribution Centers to ensure product flows seamlessly from the manufacturing and that trailers are appropriately positioned
• Work closely with the Logistics Supervisor in all aspects to ensure all loads are completed in a timely manner
  • Demand secured trailer load arrangements with excellent visual appearance
• Execute efficient, on time, and accurate deliveries to our customers and distribution centers
• Develop close relationships with Customer Service and all other departments
• Communicate of on all shortages and non-ships to Customer Service and Sales

• Ensure Supervisors have trained all employees on proper warehousing and load/unloading procedures
• Safe operation of facility in all aspects must be adhered to from training to discipline as needed

What you Need:

• High School Diploma, some college preferred
• 5-7 years of previous management / supervisory experience in an industrial environment, specifically within shipping / warehouse and inventory management
• Critical thinking skills – The ability to sort, analyze and interpret data; comparing data from different sources
• Excellent leadership, people management, communication and organization skills
• The ability to oversee all facets of day-to-day warehouse operations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
