Requirements

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

• Master’s Degree preferred.

• At least five years of progressive human resource management/leadership experience required.

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting desirable.

• HRCI or SHRM certification highly preferred.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Familiary and experience with MS office suite, especially Excel/pivot tables.

Specific Duties:

• Oversees strategy, budget and daily operation of very busy and dynamic Human Resources and Recruitment department.

• Identifies staffing and recruiting needs, trends and changes; develops and executes best practices for sourcing, advertising, hiring and talent management.

• Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.

• Acts as consultant and advisor to field staff, both management level and staff level employees. Consults and may lead discipline processes and investigations.

• Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.

• Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

• Emphasis leading planning/strategy around engagement and retention including driving surveys and responses.

• Oversees company safety program and safety committee, evaluating Workers Comp incidents and trends, including responses and education, and manages Workers Comp program costs.

• Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of s and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system including Days to Fill, Req Age, turnover, etc….

• Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.

• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.

• Develops and implements departmental budget.

• Facilitates professional development and all related supervisory activities for HR staff, gives guidance and feedback, conducts recurring meetings and sets goals.

• Performs all other human resource/talent functions and company duties as needed/required.

Position Summary
The Director of Human Resources and Recruitment will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate all Human Resource activities, policies, and staff of a busy department for a company with many employee locations in multiple states. The Director of Human Resources & Recruitment ensures legal employment compliance in each state and implements the organization’s mission as it relates to employees and talent/recruiting strategy. The Director will oversee all talent/recruiting functions, strategically plan, proactively monitor and respond to needs within the organization. The Director will also supervise multiple recruiters and HR office staff, respond to legal inquiries, oversee engagement/retention, monitor safety/workers comp, as well as communicate HR related information to the field. The Director actively contributes on the Senior Team and shares information/data to keep the Senior Team apprised of trends and helps develop responses. The Director also consults with managers on employee issues, investigations and discipline, as well as provides training to managers and is a resource to employees for information. The Director oversees benefits and processes tied to benefits for PTS and coordinates with affiliates when necessary.
