Preferred Popcorn Hiring for Plant Manager Full Time

We are looking for a key person to join our team in our facility in Waco, Nebraska in a multi-faceted role as Plant Manager. Job requirements for this position include the following:

• Oversee and set responsibilities for the SQF Manager, Plant Manager, Shipping and Inventory specialist, Sanitation Supervisor, and Packaging/production crew

• Oversee daily production and packaging operations to ensure customer specifications and delivery dates are met

• Establish operating budget, control expense as per budget, and assist in project bidding for Waco Facility

• Oversee improvements and repairs needed to the plant to maintain a clean and safe, working environment

• Ensure inventory levels are always maintained for operating purposes

• Ensure finished product inventories are managed to preserve quality and safety

• Assist sales department with customers as needed, ensuring relationships are well maintained

• Localized management of Human Resources including but not limited to hiring, orientation, benefits, filing, documentation, and terminating

• Perform and assist in employee evaluations, goals, and employee performance

• Oversee employee development including but not limited to team building and employee morale

• International and domestic travel to meet the needs of Preferred Popcorn and the customer

• Follow all policies on safety, cleanliness, and SQF/FDA

• all food safety, quality, and occupational safety concerns to corporate management

• Other duties as assigned by GM/CEO

Requirements

Education: Associate degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience

Experience: 5-10 years Managerial experience

Skills: Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence Ability to motivate staff

Highly organized and detail oriented Manage multiple tasks at the same time Strong written and oral English skills Strong interpersonal communication skills

Understanding of food safety and quality guidelines

Must be self-directed and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision

Must have excellent time management skills, be able to prioritize work, and problem solve

Represent the company to the public in a positive and friendly manner Maintain a positive attitude and have ability to work well with others

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
