Precision Record Pressing Inc Hiring for Material Handler at Oakville, ON Full Time

Precision Record Pressing is a leading vinyl record pressing company located in Burlington, Ontario. We are currently looking for Material Handlers to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity that will support our Packaging department through moving, storing, and managing materials to ensure continuous flow of departmental operations. We are looking for a positive, energetic person who is highly motivated and wants to work in a team environment!

This position operates on a weekly rotation of days (8am-4pm) and afternoons (4pm-12am) and is eligible for the afternoon shift premium.

Responsibilities

Replenishing the assembly staff with various printed material (jackets, inserts, stickers etc) to allow continuous operational flow on the packaging floor

Assist Packaging Lead & Packaging Coordinator in queuing jobs

Working with the Packaging Coordinator for the retrieval of packaging material from the warehouse staging area and setting up the packaging floor

Working with the Packaging Coordinator to transfer finished goods from the packaging floor to the warehouse staging area

General light duty assembly as needed

Other duties as assigned by Team Leader or designate

Physical Demands

Required to stand for duration of shift

Fast paced environment that involves repetitive movement

Must be able to carry, push, pull or lift up to 50lbs consistently through the day

Engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers

Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather conditions

Adaptable to relative sound pressure levels

Requirements/Qualifications

Previous experience in order picking, reviewing and following instructions and documentation required

Knowledge of inventory control methods considered an asset

Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment considered an asset

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Must have strong attention to detail

Excellent electronic, verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities in a team environment

Use of proper PPE while performing functions, CSA steel toed safety boots are mandatory

Must be willing to work both shifts & to work overtime as business needs require

Must be able to meet physical demands of the job
