Overview :

SolidWorks 3D CAD drafting and SolidWorks PDM configuration manager with hands on engineering technician experience. Day to day configuration management of the corporate cloud-based SW PDM system.

Participates in generating product documentation and manufacturing fixture documentation. Maintains and repairs manufacturing and inspection equipment at the El Paso facility.

Principal Responsibilities

• Provide configuration management (documentation controls) to the overall SolidWorks PDM system.
• Act as a technical resource to detail manufacturing fixtures and product documentation using SolidWorks PDM.
• Collaborate directly with engineers, production operators, quality inspectors and management personnel.
• Communicate technical issues clearly and effectively to engineering and quality staff.
• Act as a technical resource responsible for preventative maintenance PM and equipment repair at the El Paso facility.
• Understand and comply with the company’s quality system; support compliance with FDA QSR, ISO 13485, and other regulatory requirements.
• Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.

Requirements :

Education Requirements

Associate degree or equivalent credentials required. Bachelor’s degree helpful. SolidWorks certification and PDM ADMIN training preferred.

Training, Skills, Knowledge and / or Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in configuration management or documentation controls using SolidWorks 3D CAD and SolidWorks PDM.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in repair or maintenance of equipment having technologies including plumbing, electrical, electronics, computers, HVAC or equivalent technologies preferred.
• Microsoft 365 apps suite, able to generate instruction manuals.
• Experience interfacing with service providers, and technical support.
• Strong technical skills and ability to quickly learn new technologies and manufacturing equipment.
• Experience working in an opto-mechanical manufacturing environment is preferred.
