We have an immediate need for a Software Engineer. Praxis Engineering creates exciting and novel mission solutions in cyber related technologies and products.

What you will be doing :

The Software Engineer will perform reverse engineering and analysis of COTS 802.11 drivers and firmware, create custom drivers to enhance wireless capabilities, maintain awareness of emerging technologies and advancements in commercial hardware capabilities, and perform feasibility analysis for new wireless technologies.

Other duties include :

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements
• Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results
• Resolve software problem s
• Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment
• Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware / software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) / Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components

What you need :

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical degree, from an accredited college or university is required;

4 years of additional software engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree

• A minimum of 14 years of experience in software engineering
• Must have experience with Linux and C++
• Clearance : Active TS / SCI with an appropriate polygraph is required to be considered for this role.
