Job Description

Discuss designs with software leads, demonstrate how your approach integrates into the overall project design before implementing. Develop software with good quality, following established design criteria. Create test cases and test s for the tasks contributed. Provide timely and accurate updates to the lead. Promptly address and resolve any technical issues. Collaborate well with other engineers, architects, managers, and end-users to design and create advanced, elegant and efficient software systems. Understand the assigned task well.

You should have a strong understanding of the following:

• Qt
• Cross Compiling to different platforms (Windows and Linux)
• Operating System concepts
• Problem-solving (Data Structures, Algorithms)
• various Version Control Systems (SVN, Git, GitHub, Gitlab, etc.)
• OOPs, C++ (version 11, 14, 17)
• Agile Methodologies

You should have familiarity and understanding of the following:

• Qt Graphical libraries (or equivalent C++ graphics libraries)
• Qt Multimedia
• Qt Embedded
• Qt Script
• Python, CX_Oracle
• Oracle SQL, DDL, PL/SQL

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science and minimum 8 years of prior software engineering and/or aerospace experience or an Advanced Degree and a minimum of 5 years prior software engineering and/or aerospace experience.
• US Citizenship required due to government contracts
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated programming skills with Linux, C/C++, and bash
• Experience with Data Acquisition Systems, or strong understanding of their concepts
• Experience using, configuring, and managing a Database. SQL types are a plus.
• System design and integration experience
• Disciplined approach to software development life cycle
• Working knowledge of real-time programming, user interfaces, and device drivers
• Hardware device driver development and embedded systems interfacing
• Written and oral communication skills
• Experience with bus protocols.
• Effective team player with interpersonal skills
• Inventive, computer savvy, and a problem solver
