Job Description: Loading/unloading of shipments from trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks and safe lifting techniques. Responsible for storing ingredients according to food safe temperatures and allergen controls. Packaging, labeling and preparing necessary documents for shipments. Checking in bound shipments against packing slips and entering them into data base, reporting any discrepancies. Responsible for inventory in/out of freezer. Assist in daily, weekly and monthly inventory counts of finished products and ingredients. Responsible for ensuring frozen inventory is stored and is shipped on a first in first out basis. Working in a safe manner and observing safety policies. Responsible for garbage disposal and transferring cardboard to recycle depot and maintaining a clean warehouse, cooler and freezer. Required to work in freezer for extended periods of time. Performs other general warehouse duties as assigned. Works with other departments to facilitate supply of ingredients and packaging for scheduled production. Will assist on palletizing during the day.

Requirements:

. Experience with food and Good Manufacturing Practices and understands traceability/recall.

. Forklift and pallet jack experience required.

. Basic computer and excel knowledge, performs at a high level of accuracy with attention to detail operationally and on documentation.

. Accountable to abide by rules and regulations.

. Self motivated and organized with the ability to work without supervision.

. Reliable, dependable, accountable and flexible.

. Must possess a valid driver’s license.

. Grade 12 education or equivalent.

. Good command of the English language in verbal, reading and written format.

. Previous shipping and receiving experience.

. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 -70 lbs.

. Able to work on feet for long periods of time.

. Ability to work well in a team environment and possess good communications skills.

Shift: To be determined Monday to Friday (8 hrs) shifts may vary on occasion some weekends required. Flexibility required to meet customer and team demands.

Salary range: To be determined on experience level $16.50 to $25.10, plus Benefit plan and free ice cream
