PQShield Hiring for Junior Management Accountant Job at London, England Full Time

About the role

We are currently looking for a Junior Management Accountant that will be working closely with the Head Of Finance on all finance and accounting related activities across the organisation in order to ensure our finance processes are as efficient as possible.

We are in a high growth phase currently and as such, this role will offer you the opportunity to work on some exciting areas such as opening new entities, taking responsibility for the entire budget and eventually heading up the finance team! On top of this, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing accounts payable procedures and preparing regular payment schedules for approval
• You’ll be managing and approving all employee expenses using our dedicated expense platform
• Taking responsibility for managing Accounts receivable activities which includes raising sales invoices to customers
• You’ll be Preparing monthly management accounts across all four of our different entities
• You’ll take ownership of preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing and reconciling intercompany accounts (as per intercompany agreements and transfer pricing)
• Helping to assist the Head Of Finance in Annual Budget & Forecasts for the entire organisation
• Supporting the Head Of Finance with statutory requirements for UK, US & Europe (VAT returns, Tax returns, Statutory Accounts, US State filings)
• Assisting the business in Grant Claims

You’ll also be helping to support the Head of Finance with other financial tasks and ad hoc reports as well as being responsible for documenting and implementing financial processes for PQShieldAbout you

The ideal candidate for this position will have at 2 years of experience working as a junior accountant/accounts assistant for similar sized organisations. The following skills are also required for this role:

• Newly qualified accountant or a finalist in accounting – ACA, ACCA etc.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Good understanding of payroll systems
• Experience of xero (desired)
• Previously worked in a group of companies with multi-currencies similar to PQShield
• You have a high level of attention to detail
• You are a very organised individual who has the ability to manage your time efficiently and effectively
• You’ll be proactive and autonomous in your approach to your financing responsibilities
• You have the ability to meet set deadlines
• Can work individually and part of a small team
