Ppulus is looking for a passionate Software Developer who would like to join our cause to better social outcomes in the world. This position has a primary assignment to the Government Services portfolio. The developer will have systems and data expertise, and will be embedded in a multidisciplinary DevOps team to develop and support the Ppulus case management solution. The developer should be familiar with developing enterprise solutions with a heavy focus on data mappings and transformations. The developer will work closely within the team to ensure high coding standards and best practices are maintained. The position will involve designing, engineering system code, architecting solutions, supporting cloud deployments and exposure to business analysis experiences in social program management.

Helping to continuously scale and adapt the Ppulus product for our customers (large and small) with ever evolving features and enhancements

What You’ll be Doing

Assist in architecture, design, and ultimately building user friendly, scalable, reliable and high performing systems and services

Rapidly build end-to-end features within the Ppulus product

Eliminate bugs as they come up

Learn and adapt quickly to a changing environment

Develop and implement internal / external enterprise grade solutions and applications

Create and enhance infrastructure, platform interfaces along with RESTful APIs

Participate, promote and lead test-driven development

Design and implement continuous integration and continuous delivery

Fully participate in our agile team and processes

Communicate with internal and external stakeholders

‍What You Bring to the Team

“Get it done” attitude (but of course understanding the difference between smart shortcuts and ones that may cause problems)

A love for creating processes and tools that help developers focus on quality

New ideas and insights to the overall knowledge / expertise of the team

Awesome knowledge and expertise in Microsoft Dynamics

A technical degree / diploma in a related field of study (exceptions for individuals that can present an amazing portfolio of completed software projects)

A minimum of 3 years of software development experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience using JavaScript

A minimum of 2 years of experience using formal database and storage systems (either SQL or non-SQL)

Experience from participating in Agile team(s)

Experience with the modern-day Microsoft tech stack

Strong interpersonal and communication skills including well developed verbal and written English

Ppulus’ central hub is in Edmonton, Alberta Canada and we work standard business hours in the MST time zone

Our ideal candidate would live in the Edmonton and surrounding area (convenient for occasional mandatory in-person meetings)
