Our company has been named one of Orange County’s top 15 fastest growing companies 6 years in a row and we are in need of a new staff accountant to assist with our increasingly complex customer transactions. Role will be joining an existing accounting team, so they will need to be able to work independently and collaboratively as needed.

Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced individual to help support our accounting department and primarily manage our key accounts AR and payments remittances. The successful candidate will be very well organized, strong in excel, very communicative and have excellent GAAP accounting fundamentals. Candidate must have in-depth prior experience with 1,000+ daily accounts receivable transactions across multiple customer accounts. Must have extensive working knowledge of Excel to manipulate and match transactions. A bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred.

This is a full time, in-office position at our Irvine, CA headquarters.

Job Duties

• Oversee remittance recording and reconciliation across 20+ customer accounts, with an emphasis on ecommerce accounts (thousands of daily transactions – requires heavy excel expertise)
• Track and dispute shortages, chargeback, claims, returns and any other payment errors.
• Report to Accounting Manager for account reconciliations and month end close
• Communicate daily with operations team for any issues that affect invoicing
• Keep organized aging and shortage reports to seek full payments from customers
• Collections duties revolve around data matching errors from Fortune 500 companies and not cash-strapped small accounts (no collections calling)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Heavy Excel experience (Pivot, Vlookup, Data Queries and connections, workbook data models)
• Possess excellent organizational, communication and analytical skills with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with varying deadlines
• 3+ years of related accounting role at consumer products company (not service based companies)
• Experience with high volume of daily customer transactions (1,000+)
• Quality problem solving skills, able to think outside the box
• ERP experience skills (QB Enterprise, NetSuite or similar)
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Pay & Benefits

• $60-70K/ yr. range DOE

Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
