Mid Level Packaging Systems Engineer

Our Facilities Business Unit is growing, and we are seeking a Mid Level Packaging Systems Engineer.
Roles and Responsibilities
Assisting in and producing packaging system designs, including:
- Developing and delivering packaging CAD and design deliverables within budget to POWER and Client CAD standards
- Contributing to mass balances, conveyor calculations, and other engineering deliverables
- Participating in site visits for data acquisition, meetings, and installation support
- Helping in the presentation of deliverables to the client in face-to-face and virtual meetings
- Collaborating with internal and external multi-discipline teams in producing packaging system designs and deliverables
Required Education/Experience
- BS in an appropriate engineering field
- 4-7 years relevant work experience
- Proven proficiency in AutoCAD 2D design software
- Ability to present material in written and verbal presentations
Responsible for leading and directing packaging project design an teams, including:
- Developing and tracking packaging budget, schedule, and deliverables
- Developing technical design criteria and design basis documents
- Assisting in project proposal and budget preparation
- Mentoring and training designers and engineers in packaging systems
- Internal and customer faced communication, creating weekly and ongoing documentation, leading team meetings, and coordination with eh entire project team
- Ability to build and maintain ongoing client relationships
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship
- Skills assessment required
- Ability to travel 10-30% within the United States
Desired Education/Experience
- Proven track record in engineering, Food & Beverage and personal care packaging systems design, including equipment and conveyance
- 5 plus years engineering firm experience producing drawing packages, site work, and other engineering tasks
- 4-10 years CAD design experience, including AutoCAD 3D and Navisworks to visualize and review deliverables
- 2-5 years of engineering proposal and client development experience
- Manufacturing or equipment design experience
- Knowledge of simulation
