Power Design Hiring for Logistics Specialist at Palmetto, FL, United States Full Time

About the Position

As we shape skylines, a big part of our success is supplying our Field Teams with what they need to succeed. The Logistics Specialist is the mastermind behind the scenes, ensuring that our jobsites nationwide never miss a beat when it comes to receiving their building materials.

In this role, you’ll deep-dive into carrier freight quotes, booking shipments, and making sure our trucks are loaded up and ready to roll on time, every time.

This position will also act as a dispatch liaison, not only tracking the cargo right up until it arrives but also keeping our drivers informed and in sync.

Position Responsibilities

• Assist in the booking process for warehouse product shipments
• Manage dispatch and route scheduling for the Power Design Resources (PDR) fleet
• Enter tracking information for routes into Freightview
• Input shipping data into warehouse management system
• Assist with determining most appropriate shipping method based on cost and variables
• Communicate and coordinate with job site supervisors for appropriate delivery schedule

Here’s What We’re Looking For

• Prior experience in logistics, specifically with dispatch and brokerage, is preferred
• Strong communication and organization skills
• An agile problem solver with the ability to pivot and manage multiple priorities
• Experience scheduling and booking through Freightview is preferred but not required
• Positive attitude and customer service mentality
• BOL (Bill of Lading) knowledge is preferred but not required
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
