the Front Office team is at the heart and center of Powder Horn Family Camping Resort. With heavy guest interaction and technology usage, you’ll be working with all guests and enforcing campground policies. Knowledge of the surrounding area is a bonus. Strong communication skills, organizational and ability to work in an often fast-paced office environment. we have a dedicated French-Speaking clientele, Spoken or written French is preferred.

We do have opportunities for more responsibility in the Front Office as a Reservationist Lead. The Front Office Reservationist Lead is responsible for overseeing the Front Office Team and working with management to ensure a smooth operation. In addition to all tasks presented for the Front Office Reservationist, the Front Office Reservationist Lead may be required to cover Manager-on-Duty shifts throughout the season, and will be held responsible for opening and closing checklists in the office.

Schedule

• Late-April/Early-May (before the season begins): Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
• Early-May to mid-October (during the season): Monday to Sunday, varying hours
• 8-hour shift
• 10-hour shift
• Morning shifts
• Night shifts

• Holidays

Duties would include but are not limited to

• Responsible for monitoring guests and maintaining a safe, controlled, and friendly environment in the office while assisting with the driveway, front pool complex, and front commons. Is knowledgeable on all Office and campground rules and enforces them amongst all guests. Observes the front of the park for potential dangerous situations and reacts promptly and properly with protocols when any are found.
• Is knowledgeable on and enforces all Office and campground protocols and procedures. Ensures the Front Office is maintaining a clean and presentable appearance.
• Collaborates with Management, Security, and other Gate to act swiftly and appropriately in any emergency situation by notifying the correct team members. This would include safety or severe guest concerns.
• Provides first aid when necessary and is knowledgeable of/follows all code and incident protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and smooth process.
• Is technology literate and able to work around an Apple desktop. Must be able to learn and work daily with different softwares depending on the necessities of the business. These applications may include: Microsoft Word, Google Drive, Evernote, Apple softwares, and Campspot (our reservation software at the time). Must also be knowledgeable on all these softwares.
• Ensures smooth transitions between campground and guests (i.e. following and enforcing all Office and Campground policies; checking guests in and out of the campground; registering new guests and visitors; promptly and in a timely manner answering and responding to all emails, voicemails, and missed calls; booking reservations; processing payment including cash handling; amongst other daily tasks).
• Helps maintain daily logs and print outs for other department needs. Collaborates with other departments for needs throughout the day. This may include ‘Crew Map’ for Facilities and ‘Visitor Log’ for Security.
• Receives, records, and handles all customer complaints in a timely and professional manner. Ensure the document is given to the Head Office Manager for delegation.
• s and coordinates any facilities and maintenance issues with the Facilities Team Members or Manager on Duty at the time.
• Communicates all messages to the proper party in a timely manner; please reference the SOP for messages.

Pay: $15.25 – $19.25 per hour
