The Purpose of the Role
Post Office Limited (POL) are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Test Analyst to join the Testing Centre of Excellence (TCoE). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the banking and / or retail space.
The Senior Test Analyst will have working experience in waterfall, agile and hybrid working environments. The role will also require you to be an excellent communicator with the ability to embed and champion testing and quality standards. You will work under the Test Services Manager to help standardise and continuously improve this vertical, within the TCOE capability.
A Senior Test Analyst will act as a source of expertise in testing, particularly in scenarios that involve assisting colleagues without formal testing experience to understand the importance of robust test process and procedures. The role will support a shift-left approach in test activities at POL and will be able to perform static testing of requirements, assist with test plans, execute tests and report outcomes in a clear, concise, and consistent manner. Principal Accountabilities
- Reviewing functional and non-functional requirements
- Understanding and analysing technical architecture
- Developing test cases, integration and functional
- Executing test cases and reporting the results
- Raising, retesting, and closing defects
- Planning and performing testing, including regression testing
- Informing the Test Services Manager of any issues that may impact testing schedules, budgets and quality of the solution or testing process
- Creating test reports and obtaining sign-off from multiple stakeholders with support from the Test Services Manager
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Minimum ISTQB Foundation in Software Testing
- Degree or equivalent in computer science or information systems
- Familiar with integration and functional testing techniques
- Able to identify non/functional testing gaps and make recommendations to the business
- Previous branch experience with POL desirable
- Working experience in agile, waterfall and hybrid frameworks
- Problem solver with attention to detail
- Retail counter experience desirable
- Banking and payments experience required
- Experience in writing scripts in Zephyr desirable
- Experience of ITIL (Incident Management and Major Incident Management) is desirable
- Candidates will need to have ISTQB Certification, coupled with 6+ years testing experience and ideally have a consulting background.
