Salary: $52,844 – $63,099 per year
Portland Public Schools is actively seeking a Human Resources Associate I to perform routine HR functions involved in staffing, applicant screening, employee resignations, unpaid leaves processing, and employee on-boarding. With guidance and training, the Associate will perform the full-cycle of activities associated with the District’s staffing, recruitment, and hiring. With the District’s focus on eliminating systemic racism and its adverse impact on student learning, we seek to hire individuals who bring to our district a deep commitment to racial equity and social justice.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, psychology, sociology or a related field. Directly related experience may substitute for the required Bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis.
- Experience conducting basic research, preparing reports and/or documents.

Kate Brown announced that all Oregon K-12 educators, staff and volunteers will be required to be fully vaccinated by October 18th, 2021 or six weeks after full federal approval, whichever is later. Exceptions to this requirement are limited to Medical or Religious exceptions.
