Policy Coordinator (Remote)
Analyze, recommend, and develop policy and procedures regarding Medicaid services that will maximize Illinois resources, increase clinical quality, and ensure compliance with the federal Medicaid program.
Seek to foster innovation and employ best practices in the development of Illinois Medicaid-funded projects and initiatives.
Review and research new healthcare programs and procedure codes and make recommendations for policy around those programs and codes.
Make policy recommendations to OMI and HFS leadership to establish and finalize policy decisions.
Draft state plan amendments, waiver applications, and rules changes, at the request of HFS leadership.
Provide policy expertise and technical assistance to HFS staff and stakeholders to ensure accurate and consistent understanding of the federal Medicaid program and Illinois’ Medical Assistance program.
Other duties as assigned.
