Location: Indianapolis, IN. Completed in Sept 2021, POINT’s Indianapolis site is one of the largest state-of-the-art radiopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities in the world – almost as large as one and a half football fields.

Overview:

• Lead end to end supply chain business processes, including demand planning and forecasting, supply planning, master scheduling and capacity planning in support of commercial requirements
• Responsible for finished goods product availability ensuring service level objectives are achieved; implementing, monitoring, and managing the corporate Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process, collaborating cross functionally with Manufacturing, Quality and Finance to ensure performance targets are met
• Lead the development of comprehensive supply chain strategies.
• Accountable for overall supply chain effectiveness relative to service, cost, time, and quality
• Develop and execute a strategic sourcing and procurement plan
• Responsible for all procurement and supplier relationship management related activities, including supplier selection, contract/supply agreement negotiations, raw material procurement activities through packaging/shipment of finished products, business contract compliance monitoring, supplier performance, and resolution of supplier issues
• Negotiate externally to secure advantageous contracts representing business requirements and ensure optimum service, price, and quality needs are met.
• Develop and maintain models to be used for analysis of supplier pricing proposals. Ensure negotiated contract costs are in line with industry benchmarks.
• Establish company procurement & contracting policies and procedures. Conduct training, auditing, and ing to ensure compliance with all procurement controls.
• Support configuration, implementation and validation of electronic material resource planning software
• Develop best in class Manufacturing Planning and Materials Requirement Planning processes and practices to manage inventory
• Identify and monitor key risk areas and lead continuous improvement initiatives to mitigate risks related to import of materials for production of finished goods and export of product.
• Partner with other stakeholders, including Quality, Manufacturing, and Finance, to develop a Material Review board (MRB) process
• Develop capacity models, establish an integrated manufacturing plan for the site incorporating all requirements from engineering, maintenance, validation, and other functions to operate the site in a compliant manner
• Partner with leaders in Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Engineering, Project Management, and related functions to ensure production plans are well aligned to meet objectives.
• Establish and lead the corporate import risk management program to identify, analyze and manage risks related to import activities
• Establish and lead corporate export and trade compliance programs, including procedures and policies related to export controls.

Objectives and Accountabilities:

• Create and maintain a quality and safety-focused culture and mindset across all staff within the organization
• Develop and implement global import and export control standards and procedures to ensure quality and reliability of products
• Support regulatory inspections; lead inspections focused on import and export controls
• This role works cross-functionally to develop strategies, set direction, plan, and prioritize initiatives that lead to the advancement of the corporate project portfolio. This includes the integration of work priorities with other groups internal and external to the organization, and effective communication on such initiatives with senior leaders, peers, staff, and external stakeholders
• Lead cross-functional efforts to manage a multitude of raw material supplier and vendor relationships, third-party logistics providers, and contract manufacturing/testing organizations with the goal of consistent, on-time and efficient daily delivery of finished goods.
• As part of a cross-functional team, assess, select and qualify new vendors, negotiate effective supply agreements, oversee compliance with supply agreement commitments, and lead ongoing vendor relationship management.
• Oversee resource planning including budget and staffing model preparation (for departments, functions, or systems) and capacity monitoring of routine operations and enhancement projects
• Manage ongoing development programs including developing detailed technical work plans; selecting suitable service for the various activities; managing the performance of the vendors and preparing periodic updates for Sr. Mgmt. as may be required by internal governance demands
• Manage the development of Supply Chain staff, build-out of departmental leadership skill and identification of critical roles consistent with organizational growth and needs
• Serve as a key member in delivering the company’s product portfolio, including participation in the planning of timelines, deliverables, and milestones in collaboration with other cross-functional groups
• Provide coaching, mentorship, education and feedback to individuals/ teams regarding quality and compliance expectations
• Develop and administer the Department budget and hiring plan in line with corporate goals and objectives
• Create and deploy short- and long-term objectives and strategies for responsible teams.

• Work cross-functionally to ensure the appropriate training and qualification program are in place for individuals supporting Supply Chain and Planning activities
• Support and lead material resource planning improvement and import/export compliance initiatives for the company
• Maintain required knowledge and compliance of applicable regulations and government, industry, and company GMP standards and their interpretations. Ensure new or changing regulations (i.e., FDA, NRC, IATA, DOT) are identified, interpreted, implemented, and communicated to all impacted staff
• Measure and communicate team progress against individual, team and site goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
• Champion development and maintenance of a Quality and Safety culture and mindset across the organization through continuous engagement, education, training, and leadership
• Ensure teams are compliant with all regulatory requirements, including cGMP, Quality policies and procedures, Environmental Health and Safety and Radiation Safety Programs, and Hazardous Material Handling and Disposal
• Interact and maintain strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders including the executive team, business partners, industry partners, vendors, and service providers

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• BA/BS degree with minimum of 10 years experience in supply chain management in a Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology environment
• Must be proficient with computerized ERP/MRP systems including procurement functionality applications. NetSuite experience preferred
• Knowledge of contract manufacturing operations, processes, and systems, preferred
• cGMP Knowledge
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite Skills
• Position requires previous experience working in a fast paced pharmaceutical or related life sciences environment with 10+ years of progressive materials management, procurement, contracts management and/or strategic sourcing experience or equivalent
• Demonstrated regulatory compliance experience (i.e., cGMP, FDA, DOT, IATA guidelines), import/export of Class 7 dangerous goods including radioactive materials, import risk management, and export and trade compliance
• Experience in “Just in Time” manufacturing operations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet all deadlines
• Experience working within a GMP environment, pharmaceutical or radio-pharmaceutical environment preferred. International supply chain and procurement experience preferred
• Strong communication skills written and oral with demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders based on sound business rationale
• Experience improving supply chain and supplier performance, including the use of cost models and performance metrics
