The Position:

The Title Commitment Processor effectively and efficiently drafts Title Commitments for deals performed by PM Title, LLC. This position requires the Commitment Processor to exercise independent judgement while also posessing the knowledge and experience necessary to handle any situation which may arise out of the Title Exam.

Responsibilities:

– Use title search documentation to prepare and type commitments as instructed in an efficient and accurate manner in accordance with state specific requirements.

– Proofing commitments and policies, correcting errors as needed.

– Working with various software systems, including Qualia Connect.

– Preparing packages and the delivery of any commitments policies, and reports.

– Collaborate with our Processing department to resolve title issues such as legal descriptions, easements, lot splits, vesting, all tax liens, abstracts of judgements, bankruptcies, boundary disputes, encroachments, list pendants, etc. Exercises appropriate judgment to identify potential legal and operating risks.

– Secure all documents (corrective and other) that may be required for the issuance of title insurance.

– Responsible for managing our Commitment pipeline to ensure we meet our client’s expectations.

– Understand the escrow process to determine what steps need to be taken to transfer the title of property pursuant to the conditions called for in the real estate contract and lender instructions.

– Manage and develop client relationships to ensure future real estate closing transactions.

– Provide high level of customer service and develops ongoing escrow referrals in escrow transactions.

– Understands industry developments and regulatory issues and the impact on the business.

Requirements:

– Experienced with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the escrow/title industry field.

– Excellent client relations and organizational skills.

– Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

– Ability to read, interpret, correct, and draft documents.

– Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

– Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, and taxes — ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

– Detail0oriented and professional; able to handle confidential information.

– Successful track record in the escrow industry and expertise in a variety of escrow product areas.

– Strong communication, both verbal and written.

Preferred:

– 2-5 years’ experience in a Title Commitment Processor role.

– Background in Business Administration, Real Estate, Statistics, and Title

Must be willing to work nights and potentially on the weekends! We are not a traditional title company. We provide service to our customers and are on-call 24/7/365.
