Financial Controller

For over 60 years Plyco has been a leading supplier of products to the post-frame, metal clad building and commercial construction industries. Plyco is based in Elkhart Lake, WI and is seeking a positive and professional Financial Controller to add to their growing team.

What you will do

Financial Controller will provide leadership and coordination of company financial planning and budget management functions and have the ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections. This position is responsible for monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results against budget, overseeing daily operations of the accounting department, and ensuring local, state, and federal compliance as it relates to financial reporting. This position will also manage all HR processes, procedures and policies and manage the employee benefit plan renewals to support retention of employees while maintaining cost controls. A few more responsibilities include preparing and distributing month end management reports centered on period sales and all month end journal entries making sure they are completed and entered correctly. As well as Managing an internal staff of five in both the accounting and system functions department.

What you need to have

As Controller, you must have an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minimum of 10 years of management experience. Additional requirements include having knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Having professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills is an important requirement along with being proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Accounting Software. Knowledge of CSI (Infor) ERP system is preferred and will serve on team for implementation and maintenance. Any public accounting experience would be preferred but not required.
