About the role…

Our Accounts Payable Officer role will coordinate the efficient and accurate processing of all payments. This role includes the following tasks:

• Accurate processing of invoices and credit notes to enable timely payment to suppliers.
• Liaising with internal and external parties to bring about satisfactory resolution to disputed invoices and claims.
• Ensure pricing claims are raised with the supporting evidence at all times.
• Maintain the RFC ledger.
• Supplier reconciliations as required.
• Undertake Accounts Payables administration functions as required.
• Assist in maintaining the Accounts Payable automatic Ezescan system as required.
• Follow and abide by Company internet and e-mail protocols.
• Ensure general performance standards are maintained at all times.
• Ad-hoc duties as required by the Accounts Payable Supervisor in line with the needs of the business.

About you…

As someone with previous Accounts Payable experience, you will possess a passion for helping others and delivering excellent customer service to our branch network through accurate processing of supplier invoices and rebates.

• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Duties are performed in a timely, effective and professional manner in line with company policies and procedures.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.

Ability to work on own as well as collectively as part of the Accounts Payable Team.

To be considered for this role, you MUST have the following relevant experience and skills:

• Microsoft Office – in particular Word and Excel
• Accounting software packages
• General database processing skills
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
• Dependability and integrity in fulfilling the obligations of the position
• Analytical thinking to identify and solve problems or issues
• Tertiary qualifications in a Finance related field
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Accounts Payable or a finance related field.
