The Team & The Role

You will be part of our Finance Team and work directly with the FP&A Manager and Head of Financial Accounting, as well as our VP Finance, to make sure Plum is in good financial health and well prepared for scale! Typical areas of focus will include: budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning, management reporting, financial analysis and business modelling. The role will fit someone who is hands on, analytical and curious about how to build a business sustainably.

What You Will Do

• Assist with the financial modeling and budgeting process of Plum
• Prepare commentary for management and the Board on a monthly basis
• Processing a range of financial transactions into accounting system
• Assist with accounting processes around month end and Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Assist with maintaining and updating the AP function (payments/vendor management)
• Act as a driver for the business via the data we have to focus on areas of opportunity or where we are falling behind
• Assist with corporate finance tasks, including fundraising and M&A
• Work with Product and Marketing to assess performance against OKRs

What We Look For

• You have 2-3 years of experience in FP&A and/or accounting
• You have a strong analytical background, with a degree in Maths, Economics, Accounting, Business Analytics and/or Data
• You are working towards an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification
• You have strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals
• You have a strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modelling experience
• You have great attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• You are hands on, driven and proactive; you take ownership of your work and can collaborate as a team player
• Experience working in fintech is a plus
• Experience with an accounting software, such as Xero is a plus
• Experience with Looker is a plus
• Experience working with LTV and CAC metrics is a plus
• Experience analysing data and working with Data Teams is a plus
