Playspaces Nursery Hiring for Trainee Early Years Practitioner Job at Brechin, Scotland Full Time

To work as an effective member of a team that delivers flexible, high quality, early learning and child care provision to all children aged 0-12 years.

All applicants must be flexible and willing to work a variety of shifts between 7:30 – 6:00pm Monday to Friday – however can also provide set hours. Salary is based upon minimum wage.

All applicants must be willing to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and adhere to a Disclosure Scotland check (PVG).

It is essential that all applicants must work towards a SVQ Level 3 qualification in childcare.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• To work in partnership with Management, early years team, parents/carers and other agencies to contribute to an effective team and to be fully involved in all aspects relating to early learning and childcare

• To learn about current policy documents in line with the age and development of all children

• To learn about and be efficient in relevant planning, assessment, observation, and record keeping documentation.

• To organise and prepare resources in support of all aspects of the nursery with support from Early Years Practitioners

• To ensure that the nursery is stimulating, nurturing and welcoming environment for young children and their families and meets our aims and objectives.

• To undertake training opportunities when available and in-house events i.e parent’s evenings.

• To work in partnership with management and team to ensure policies and risk assessments are adhered to.
