About The Role

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, we are now seeking a Finance Coordinator to provide support and assist with day-to-day accounting functions (payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable) for the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

• timely processing of financial transactions (both debtors and creditors) using accounting software and maintain accurate electronic filing;
• assist with processing payroll fortnightly including PAYG and superannuation calculations and provide payroll information as required;
• assist with budget preparation & month end processing using accounting software;
• determine payments required by our partners and other affiliated bodies using Excel;
• assist in the preparation of acquittals for grants and project reports;
• under the direction of the Finance Manager and report irregularities or concerns to the Finance Manager;
• assisting others in the PGNSW team with member enquiries, payments and data entry during periods of high demand.

About You

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Business Studies or similar.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience with accounting software including payroll functionality (Xero highly regarded).
• Strong computer literacy with Intermediate User Excel, MS Office, Xero and related HR software (Bamboo HR beneficial)
• Highly developed interpersonal, communication and conflict management skills
• Works with discretion, integrity and respect and understands the importance of confidentiality
• Familiarity with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS) Award highly regarded.
