Working at Play Sports as a Finance Assistant will provide you with great experience and exposure to the wider business. You will develop skills and experience across a broad range of finance activities; you will also have the opportunity to support process improvements as the business continues to grow and become more complex.

The Role:

• Supporting finance management with the month-end process including revenue recognition

• Supporting the Finance Manager to ensure we maintain a consistent control environment

• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations

• Raising Sales ledger invoices

• Processing purchase ledger invoices ensuring they match purchase orders

• Support with queries sent to the finance email address, responding to queries in a timely manner

• Reconciling eCommerce transactions

• Assisting with the year-end close and audit

• Update the fixed asset register for the group

Skills and Experience:

• Part qualified or working towards a finance qualification (e.g. AAT,CIMA)

• Excel skills

• Good communication skills

• Attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and use initiative

• Experience using accounting systems
