Plastikon Healthcare is looking for a Staff Accounting who will perform accounting and other functions associated with manufacturing involving the application of established accounting standards, principles, and practices in order to efficiently accomplish month-end close, assist financial statement preparation, account analysis and other services that support the general ledger and financial statement presentation. the individual must have strong accounting knowledge and proven ability to independently manage projects. Must be proficient at analytical research and require minimal direction and oversight. May act as a team leader on various projects/assignments and must possess in-depth knowledge of manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Utilize accounting software programs customized for manufacturing facility to perform daily work duties and responsibilities.
• Track customer projects and capital projects.

• Perform duties associated with accounts payable and customer billing
• Assist Controller with month-end closings.

• Assist with set up of new GL accounts, bank reconciling items, prepare journal entries along with accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation to general ledger.
• Assist the controller with internal and external auditor information.

• Assist with special projects assigned by management.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Associate Accounting Degree or equivalent in accounting or a related field with 2-3 years of experience.

Computer Skills

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Power Point, Word, Excel. Must be able to create and maintain Excel spreadsheets with formulas and data.
