Plasser American is the worldwide leader in the design and manufacture of specialist heavy railroad maintenance of way equipment based in Chesapeake VA with over 350 dedicated team members. Due to our continued growth we are searching for a talented, engaging Parts Sales Specialist with excellent telephone manner and strong computer skills to support our nationwide customers with integrity, teamwork and a sense of urgency.
The successful candidate will be responsible for promptly responding to customer calls and emails, quoting and entering orders, checking inventory and working closely with the other departments at the Plasser American manufacturing site to ensure we provide world class support to our valued customers operating the nation’s critical railroads.
Parts Sales Specialist is required to operate with a positive attitude and a ‘can do’ enthusiastic presence possessing strong communication skills both written and orally in emails and over the telephone enquiries.
Duties/Responsibilities
Qualifications
Strong organization and communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook.
Preferred:
Ability to read blueprints and schematics when necessary.
Prior experience with AS400
Education/Experience
Minimum 3 years of parts or manufacturing sales experience.
A high school diploma and/or a technical degree.
