The Opportunity

Planview, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Sr. Implementation Consultant as part of the Planview Professional Services (PS) Team in Sydney, Australia. In the “changing world of work” it is becoming increasingly important that we partner with customers and prospects to identify where they are on their “strategy-to-delivery” journey and define the best Planview solution to meet those needs. The combination of transformation and our growing solution portfolio demands expertise in diagnosing customer needs, prescribing and delivering Planview solutions, and ensuring a seamless handoff between Sales, Professional Services, and Customer success teams.

Strategic Portfolio Management is an exciting growth market opportunity and this role will be focused on that solution set. The ideal candidate is a Business-first thinker with a strong awareness and understanding of hybrid organizations using both OKR and traditional strategic planning processes.

You will be implementing our Strategic Portfolio Management solution to our customers. With a unique combination of consulting and software implementation experience, you will be a customer-facing subject matter expert who plays a key role in knowing the customer’s unique business scenarios, delivering customer business outcomes through configuration of the Planview connected platform.

What You’ll Do

• Support Managing Consultants and Solution Architect in proposing and delivering Professional Services engagements by using your knowledge and experience.
• Work with Planview Sales teams ensuring a seamless transition from pre to post sales.
• Identify and document the customer’s “future-state” environment and processes that link to business outcomes and requirements (Process Alignment).
• Assist with the Design of Planview solution that will deliver the customer’s business outcomes, support the needed processes and is aligned with best practice.
• Consult and guide customer process definition and optimization across multiple capability areas ensuring alignment and consistency with best practices.
• Leverage Planview’s methodology to document the solution design, scope and delivery elements.
• Able to define ing and integration business requirements and complete the functional specification of s and integrations.
• Manage solution scope within commercial boundaries and identify impacts on scope that require initiation of a commercial change request.
• Gathers customer information to escalate and solve the most complex, multi-level, and/or technical-related customer problems, conducts additional research to identify patterns and the root causes of the issue and develop a plan of action to resolve the issue.
• Uses business requirements, and technical/product requirements and negotiates with customer to ensure the best solutions are provided; provides expert advice on additional or complementary products or services that meet their business needs and drive revenue.
• Manage, optimize and track working time to achieve billable utilization targets.
• Represents and enhancement as needed.Professional Services and be able to advocate customer’s business use cases and scenarios internally to Customer Success and Product Management team to assist in future product direction, support prioritisations. Represent the customers in the validation of support resolution.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management of Information Science, or Business (or related degree) or demonstrated relevant experience
• Logical mindset and ability to follow processes and application logic
• Ability to learn and apply industry knowledge and understanding of the business (best practices and processes) to drive customer success
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Broad understanding of software implementation, agile and lead based practices
• Experience in working in teams using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP, SAFe, etc.)
• 2+ years experience in a consultative, customer-facing role: sales engineer, consulting, training
• 2+ years experience implementing and customizing business solutions
• Strong desire to gain technical knowledge of product supported
• Experience and/or knowledge of legacy and current ALM solutions, i.e. Jira, ADO, Rally, CollabNet, HP-ALM, Clarity, AgileCraft, Octane, etc.
• Agile certifications a plus, i.e. SAFe Agilest, SPC, LPM, CSM, CPO, PMI, etc.
• Experience in ing in Microsoft SSRS and PowerBI a plus
• Willing to travel domestically or overseas within Asia Pacific Region
