Your Mission:

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist you will grow our business by taking full ownership of recruitment strategy and activity, and by finding and onboarding top talent that will help the Planet Fitness Michigan Group achieve its goals. Your role as a Talent Acquisition Specialist is hands-on, and is essential to the success of building strong candidate pipelines, managing such pipelines, and selection of our top-notch, talented team members who will cultivate our Judgement Free Zone®. In your role you will:

• Develop a sourcing strategy for each role that ensures a diverse, highly talented candidate pool
• Consistently evaluate recruiting processes, best practices and measure results to drive candidate activity for club and corporate office positions
• Ensure job postings reflect Planet Fitness brand, work environment, and culture
• Utilize traditional job boards, leverage social platforms, hiring events, cold calling, etc. to drive candidate activity
• Problem solve creatively, and stay up-to-date on new sourcing tools, best practices, and how the team can best utilize recruiting and networking tools to ensure our onboarding experience is effective and successful
• Accurately track the progress of candidates through our ATS (CareerPlug) and analyze acquisition, turnover, and retention data using HRIS.
• Evaluate onboarding processes to ensure candidate experience aligns to our core values
• Be hands on with the recruitment process, including conducting prescreening and interviewing activities for Corporate and Management positions
• Conducts background checks
• Communicate with Regional and General Manager’s regarding their staffing needs, identifying notable trends and patterns in the data
• Organize and attend recruitment events, especially those that pertain to new club opening
• Maintain confidentiality on candidate sensitive topics
• Perform other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business and 2-4 years of recruiting experience in a retail or gym environment or related field OR a combination of HR education and experience
• Experience in all areas of sourcing such as social media, networking, cold calling, job postings, job fairs, college recruitment and other recruiting events
• Must be results driven and utilize knowledge to meet or exceed KPIs and goals
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of recruiting/talent acquisition processes
• Proven track record of success in recruiting quality candidates/talent acquisition
• Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Persistent follow through and proper resolution on assignments and projects
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Exercises proper judgment in prioritization of job responsibilities, execution of assignments and projects, and contributions to the
