More about your role
As the talent landscape changes Places for people want to ensure that our colleagues, both new and existing, can be the best they can be. We want to attract the best people and give them the training, development and support needed so they can be productive, engaged and most importantly happy in the work they do. As our Head of Talent Development you will work closely with HR leaders and Managing Directors within the Group and its subsidiary businesses to identify key business challenges and devise appropriate talent, learning and culture strategies that achieve this aim.
You will set the strategic direction for the Group’s L&D and work collaboratively, cross functionally, to understand business needs and ensure strategy evolves to meet those needs. You will lead the Talent function, which includes L&D (including our digital LMS platform – Places Academy) and our Emerging Talent program (focused on Graduates and early careers). You will help to drive continuous improvement within the function to ensure it is efficiently and effectively meeting the needs of the organization.

More about you
You will be CIPD qualified with a background within learning and talent development ideally from a large complex business. You will need experience operating at a senior level with a track record of defining and shaping talent strategy.
We would be interesting in applications from people who have demonstrated how they have not only moved the talent agenda forward within an organization but by doing so have increased diversity and inclusivity.
