Job Description – Mechanical Assembler

PKS Equipment & Engineering, A leader of Hoist products, is seeking Mechanical Assemblers for their facility in Ancaster, Ontario.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Read and interpret shop drawings.

· Align components for assembly, manually or with hoist, and bolt, and screw parts together, using hand and power tools

· Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications.

· Inspect finished parts for conformity to drawings and isolate defects.

· Assemble and integrate Hydraulic and Pneumatic Components according to drawings.

· Set up and operate drill presses to drill and tap holes in parts for assembly

· Inspect, operate, and test completed machines to verify operation and conformance to customer specifications.

We are looking for:

· Min 3 Years Previous & Proven Mechanical Assembly Experience

· Experience in Metal Fabrication, Hydraulics and Pneumatic a definite asset

· Experience working with tools/machinery

· Ability to read shop drawings/blueprints

· Must be able to operate a forklift and lifting devices for movement of parts

· Comfortable lifting 50 pounds or more on a regular basis

· Must be adaptable to changing work environment, competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

· Ability to motivate team members to produce quality materials within tight time frames.

· Motivated, assertive with a keen ability for problem solving.
