PK SOUND is Looking for Purchaser Full Time

PK Sound is currently looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Purchaser who has an insatiable desire to get the job done and make things better along the way. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, this person will manage all vendors and purchasing of parts inventory for PK’s product manufacturing.

As a key role in the organization, this position requires someone who has an extensive history of high-volume purchasing and the ability to be strategic as PK scales. PK Sound’s Purchaser should have demonstrated working knowledge of negotiating contracts, and prior experience doing market research. We require a team player with the ability to build relationships with vendors and co-workers, prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment and have exceptional problem-solving skills.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ready to work hard, in a face paced environment
• Manage all vendors and purchase all parts, raw materials, consumables, engineering, and manufacturing samples.
• Follow up with suppliers/vendors for delivery confirmation, back-orders, and quality issues.
• Manage the ERP to ensure accurate data and visibility on real-time PO status.
• Book international air, ocean, and ground movements; Manage arrival deadlines, bills of ladings (BOLs), packing slips, system entry, distribution, and record maintenance as required.
• Ensure the right product is at the right place, at the right time, and the most optimized costs.
• Complete required shipping documents to fulfill brokerage and import/export requirements.
• Be accountable for material shortages, root cause analysis, backup solutions, and communication of possible SO delays.
• Review and refine product re-order points and mix/max values within ERP on an ongoing basis.
• Create purchasing strategy to ensure the on-time arrival of all parts
• Find economies of scale by continually evaluating new vendors, MOQ price breaks, and consolidation opportunities.
• Create and publish annual demand projections to major vendors.
• Create vendor payment schedules, and assist with AP & invoice issues.
• With the support of the Supply Chain Coordinator, organize timely & efficient shipment of goods for all Vendor shipments and Customer shipments.
• Participate in the monthly and annual inventory count providing support to the planning and operations team.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Any other tasks as assigned.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• 3-5 years working in the same or similar role.
• A degree in business administration, commerce, economics, or a related discipline. a Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) qualification may also be an advantage
• 2+ years working within an ERP system.
• Demonstrated a thorough understanding of supply chain processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00-$80,856.08 per year
