PK- Private School Hiring for Elementary Classroom Teacher Job at Leander, TX Full Time

Sterling Classical School is a Classical, Christian, and College-Preparatory school that uses the Charlotte Mason philosophy to instill the love of learning in our students. Our students are on campus two days a week for preschool. Kindergarten through fourth grade students attend class two days a week and complete assignments two additional days a week at home or on campus. In Kindergarten through 4th grade, Sterling has open positions for teachers willing to teach a minimum of three days a week and preferably four.

Teacher Requirements and Responsibilities:

· Must hold a bachelor’s degree and relevant teaching experience.

· Desire to teach in a Christian environment using classical curriculum and a Charlotte-Mason philosophy.

· Must be a lifelong learner, willing to attend professional development to grow as an educator.

· Must be a team player, committed to the vision and mission of the school.

· Create a warm, nurturing, and joyful classroom environment where each student feels like they are seen.

· Work with grade level teacher to develop engaging lesson plans for on- campus days and/or home days.

· Communicate consistently and respectfully with parents in a timely manner.

· Engage students in age-appropriate classroom instruction.

· Set measurable benchmarks for students to move forward.

· Assess students using formal and informal assessments and communicate concerns or progress with parents, Head of School, and report on quarterly report cards.

· Perform other duties as directed by the Head of School.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22,000.00 – $30,000.00 per year
