The Role: Art Teacher

Our Art Teachers are central to the quality of the student’s learning experience. They are pioneers in the art community to merge art education with cutting-edge technology. A Pixical Art Teacher’s primary job responsibilities include:

• Teaching: You will be responsible for conducting online art classes for children (aged 5-15 yrs) and ensuring a delightful and great learning experience. These classes will be held through the Pixical™ web platform. We will provide training to teachers on how to best use the platform. The classes will be beginner-level courses.
• Grading & Assessment: You will be responsible for assessing the student’s performance on their art pieces, grading and giving corrective feedback on projects and exercises.
• Interacting with both parents and kids on a periodic basis to discuss the progress of achieving the learning goals and planning for change in the instructions as required.

What we are looking for

• You are pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s in Art and are passionate about teaching art.
• Ideally, the experience of 2+ years teaching Art and handling kids up to middle or high school.
• Good understanding of art pedagogy and how it can be applied for kids of age 5 – 15 years.
• A good communicator and storyteller who can hook the kids and guide them to meet the learning goals in online classroom instruction.
• You can commit at least 10 hours per week for a period of 3 months to Pixical.
• You are comfortable with technology, teaching online.

• Having diverse thought processes and the ability to strongly interlink concepts, techniques, and ideas.

The Selection Process

Step 1: There will be an initial informal interview to get to know you better.

Step 2: An interview with a master art instructor.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Salary: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
