Position Summary: Pivotree is looking for a Director of Workplace Technology to lead the function and support our organization’s growing requirements. This position provides leadership and oversees all aspects related to workplace technology, including promoting a culture of customer service, continuous improvement and process standardization. This includes benchmarking of best practices, for operational and quality measures. As a member of the Corporate Services management team, the Director will participate in operational plan development and decision-making activities.
Roles & Responsibilities: • Create and evolve a modern, safe and efficient workplace technology environment to allow team members to maximize their potential. • Oversee all aspects of workplace technology strategic planning, implementation and system integration • Manage the Corporate IT department by defining processes; allocate people and technology resources to ensure its effective operation • Oversee Corporate IT project implementation and accountable for project deliverables • Develop and execute a roadmap to evolve workplace technology that: Improves employee experience Promotes team efficiency Manages and reduces legacy technical debt • Develop, recommend and manage department budget with linkage to company value creation • Be accountable for data integrity, security, business continuity planning and related processes while collaborating with our security team, as necessary. • Respond to and mitigate security compliance audits • Lead and manage IT initiatives and projects related to the implementation and improvement of application systems • Maintain IT vendor relationship management and contract negotiations, including working with vendors and service providers • Manage the contracting and licensing of third-party software and hardware agreements, oversee warranties and service agreements • Collaborate across departments and functions to optimize, advance or influence company wide technology architecture • Orient and train new team members, determine performance standards and conduct performance reviews Key Skills and Competencies: • 7+ years of business experience in corporate information technology, workplace technology (or similar) with increasing levels of responsibility • Demonstratable experience managing workplace technology for a distributed and remote workforce. • Experience leading strategic and tactical planning of an organization’s IT infrastructure and internal application systems • Experience implementing and managing technical information system solutions • Experience leading a Corporate IT team, with a proven ability to manage IT personnel in application development, hardware support, and help desk functions • Experience providing business analysis, business process review, and mapping • Experience managing IT projects, with strong financial acumen (project budgeting, forecasting, and cost control) • Experience in SLA, process and policy development, including addressing stakeholder concerns • Experience in Change Advisory Board and ad-hoc committee involvement • Experience in strategic sourcing practices • Possess outstanding analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to systematically analyze situations, identify options, draw logical conclusions and determine/recommend practical courses of action • Demonstrate capacity to identify and respond quickly to emerging issues and priorities • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with senior level executives • Post-secondary education in computer science, information technology or related • Experience with Google Workspace, Windows/Mac environment, Enterprise Zoom/VOIP, Slack, MS Office, Jumpcloud, Active Directory/GPOs, Smartsheet, Freshservice, Jira preferred • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) delivery and support principals preferred Pivotree is an equal opportunity employer.
