Pit N Portal is an Australian Mining Services company and forms part of The Emeco Group. A leading Australian mining services company providing clients with multiple solutions from short term dry hire through to full service contract mining with operational expertise, equipment and a skilled underground mining team.

Due to recent growth and expansion within Pit N Portal we have an opportunity for a highly skilled, self driven & tertiary qualified Finance Business Partner to join the Finance team in our corporate office at Osborne Park.

About the Role:

This is a fast paced role within a dynamic department where it is essential you have a minimum of 3 years experience within a business anlayst environment preferably the mining industry. Commercial knowledge of the mining Industry as relevant to contracts and related financial project drivers is key to being successful in this position. You will possess strong analytical and diagnostic skills with the ability to develop best practice solutions along with the ability to build relationship with stakeholders at multiple levels in multiple locations.

The successful applicant will also hold tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or equivalent

Some of the key duties of the role include:

• Ownership of nominated site monthly P&L and production physicals
• Report the monthly P&L results of the nominated sites
• Analyse Mining Services Division business performance and reporting of KPI’s on Daily, weekly and monthly basis
• Identify business improvements opportunities within the division, including processes with regard to the reporting requirements of all Emeco business groups.
• Partner with Commercial Manager, Production Analysts and Senior Mining Engineer to develop and maintain accurate KPI data base and reports
• Partner with Site PM’s, and division GM’s to assist in tracking weekly and monthly KPI’s, including profitability and provide insight on divisional earnings
• Participate in wider Portfolio Management activities as required including market analysis and operations and ad hoc analyses and project work.
• Regular site travel as required.
• Ensure all reconciliations are completed and reconciled.
• Ensure Australian Accounting Standards are followed at all times.
