Pinpoint Talent Hiring for Senior Data Analyst at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Full Time
Our NSW State Government client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join on an initial 6 month contract with view to extend.
Senior Data Analyst | Sydney CBD / WFH Hybrid | 741 – 856 per day + super | NSW Gov
Purpose of the role:
The purpose for this role is to lead and undertake complex analysis for data & analytics, ing and dashboard projects. This role will sit within the ing Centre of Excellence business unit and liaise closely with business product owners, developers, testers and vendors to successfully deliver complex and integrated ing and data solutions that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide BI tools and ing expertise, guiding business discussions for excellence in outcomes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into JIRA user stories and technical specifications.
- Perform complex data analysis, mapping, and modeling using SQL to identify technical solutions.
- Translate Business Processes into mapping and design concepts, capturing and maintaining related documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, solution architects, developers, testers, and external vendors.
- Offer thought leadership on technical business analysis standards and methodologies, contributing to continuous improvement.
- Participate in agile rituals, supporting systems testing and user acceptance testing.
- Contribute to data governance by identifying and escalating data quality issues for assessment and remediation.
Key Knowledge and Experience:
- 7+ years as a Technical Business Analyst in data and ing projects.
- Proficient in Agile environments with expertise in requirements gathering, data analysis, and data modeling.
- Extensive experience in Business Process mapping and design.
- Strong analytical and design skills, with practical ETL development experience.
- Proficient in SQL.
