Pinpoint Talent is seeking a Market Research Analyst to work for our NSW Government client.

12 month contract with view to extend

The Rocks/WFH

$55 per hour + Super

Primary purpose of the role

The Research Analyst within the Data, Operations and ing undertakes data analysis and ing activities to deliver insights to stakeholders to support strategic planning across DNSW.

Key accountabilities

• Conduct research, analysis and ing to deliver key insights and findings to various stakeholders via s, snapshots, briefings and presentations.
• Undertake and support the delivery of stakeholder enquiries, ensuring high quality and relevant data and information are provided in an efficient and proactive manner.
• Contribute to the production of high-quality research s and publications for distribution.

· Provide analysis, exchange information, consult and collaborate on key visitor insight initiatives and projects.

• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure both Destination NSW requirements and visitor economy strategic objectives are met.
• Liaise with tourism data suppliers on data issues and enquiries.
• Proactively keep up to date with issues that may impact the Visitor Economy and actively participate as team members across Destination NSW, contributing to and undertaking special projects and activities, as required.
• Update and maintain records and databases, complying with administrative systems and processes, to ensure that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across the Division including reviewing and maintaining work processes and procedures and recommending opportunities for efficiency and support department knowledge management initiatives and team operational requirements.

Key challenges

• Delivering analysis and ing on tourism data sources in a timely and accurate manner, which meet the requirements of Destination NSW.
• Applying a strong data analysis and problem-solving approach to ensure relevant and accurate data and insights are delivered which support decision making and strategic planning.
• Overseeing tourism data sources to ensure data quality, integrity, currency and accessibility.
• Managing relationships with various internal and external stakeholders and clearly communicating and ing on data and research.

Essential requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in statistics, economics, behavioural science or equivalent and/or demonstrated equivalent experience

Key knowledge and experience

• Ability to source, extract and analyse tourism and other secondary data sources.
• Sound experience in undertaking quantitative research and research operations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of a range of analysis and ing techniques, technologies and tools including software such as SPSS/Q, Advanced Excel & PowerPoint.
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills and experience liaising with various stakeholders, as well as preparing and delivering user-friendly research s tailored to various audiences.
