POSITION SUMMARY
Oversees the school’s Student Services and Career Services departments to provide educational support, career services and job placement assistance to students and graduates. This position is responsible for creating and sustaining an environment of academic and professional excellence and is responsible for the overall success of placement and retention of PCI students and graduates.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
1. Accountable for the overall success of achieving graduate placement goals and student retention goals. Develop and implement best practices to achieve these goals.
2. Schedules dates for employer information sessions, interviews, and fairs.
3. Build effective relationships with local, regional and national corporations, non-profit and government organizations and community partners to identify employment opportunities and to promote the school’s qualified students, graduates and alumni.
4. Solicit job leads and opportunities for graduates by phone and personal contacts with employers. Conduct professional presentations to employers regarding hiring relationships as dictated by company standards.
5. Assist graduates in securing employment in their field of training. Provides assistance in helping enrolled students obtain non-degreed employment while still enrolled at PCI.
6. Provide career coaching, including seminars and workshops, in interviewing techniques and other job search skills training.
7. Verify that the operations of the Career Services and Student Services departments are in compliance with government and accreditation regulations.
8. Manage survey functions to measure graduates’ employment success and employers’ satisfaction with the quality of education provided to graduates.
9. Participate in public relations activities promoting the school.
10. Keep abreast of new career services opportunities and strategies.
11. Help coordinate the campus PAC advisory meetings in conjunction with the Program Director.
12. Manage resources and support services to promote improvement in student success and retention.
13. Monitor academic progress of students assuring all meet satisfactory academic progress.
14. Hire, train and manage Career Services and Student Services personnel.
