Job Impact

The Revenue Accountant supports the revenue cycle and is responsible for reviewing and analyzing customer contracts to ensure revenue is recorded in compliance with revenue recognition policies.

This position will support company’s Account Managers with invoicing and tracking of associated revenue and collections. In addition, this position will play a critical role in performing the monthly closing of the revenue cycle and produce related reporting.

Ensuring proper and efficient operational and financial reporting systems and processes are in place to provide the right insights to allow the business to deliver results and compliance with financial reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for timely and accurate recording of customer invoices and related revenue.

• Prepare month-end journal entries and analysis.
• Reconcile associated income statement and balance sheet accounts.
• Responsible for other general ledger account analysis and reconciliations as assigned.
• Identify and implement process improvements that increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare schedules and information for quarterly internal and external auditor requests.
• Assist in the preparation of schedules which will support the drafting of Company’s internal and external financial reporting (10Q and 10K/Annual Reports with related footnotes)
• Support the Guiding Principles and vision of the company and the team through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors.
• Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 4+years of relevant accounting experience (CPA a plus); prefer comparable experience with a public company or accounting firm.
• Ability to work under pressure and achieve required deadlines while still maintaining an exceptional level of detail.
• Display a high skill level with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communicator
• Ability to work independently and as part of a successful team.
• Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains) general ledger system, billing platforms and new system implementations a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
