Position: Senior Accountant

Status: Full Time

Summary

This position is responsible for managing various aspects of the accounting department’s daily and ongoing accounting and financial activities. Accuracy, timeliness, discretion, and the use of independent judgement and decision making are essential components of this position. This position will report to the Direct of Accounting & Finance.

Primary Responsibilities

Accounting Activities:

– Processing and preparation of financial statements.

– Provide upper management with day-to-day financial data and projections as requested.

– Prepare and manage Sales Agent production schedules and commissions.

– Prepare and maintain Real Estate forecasting schedules.

– Manage and maintain daily expense activities.

– Prepare monthly reconciliations of all bank accounts and company credit cards.

– Prepare invoices and oversee the tracking of accounts receivable.

– Pay bills as needed in a timely manner.

– Safeguard sensitive accounting and financial information.

– Assist with accounting and clerking aspects of Machinery Auctions.

– Manage Sales Agent invoicing in conjunction with the Advertising Department.

– Manage Land Management Trust Account in conjunction with the Land Management Department.

– Assist Land Management department in preparation of year end Landowner Financial Statements.

– Assist management in overseeing insurance coverages.

– Assist Accounting Department with migration to more efficient software systems.

– Assist COO with ongoing development of website data.

Additional Responsibilities

Assist Management with budgeting.

Assist the President, Managing Broker, and COO as needed.

Addition Aspects of the position

Willing to travel overnight to assist with on-site auctions

Willing to travel to other offices to oversee and assist with planning and organization

Education & Work Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or associates degree combined with demonstrated experience

3-5 years related experience in accounting

Proficient with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel

Salary – $60-$70/Hour Negotiable
