PIE Management a professional staffing agency that is seeking a Finance/Compliance Evaluator in the Seattle, WA area. Seeking a skilled, knowledgeable, highly-motivated, and enthusiastic team player to assist in managing the subrecipient monitoring activities. The Compliance Evaluator reports to the Compliance Manager and assists in the daily subrecipient risk management and monitoring functions across the department. This position plays a role in preparing and reviewing financial and programmatic risk assessments, financial contract compliance, and other monitoring activities. The position also provides support during internal and external audits of the Department. The duration of this remote temporary position will go until the end of March 2023. IT technical laptop equipment will be issued for telecommuting.

JOB DUTIES:

• Perform financial and compliance risk assessment analysis for the department’s subrecipient agencies, which under the guidance of the Department Compliance Manager, includes analyzing a variety of financial records, reports, statements, and communicating the results to both financial and non-financial staff.
• Perform fiscal subrecipient monitoring site visits on behalf of the Department to ensure fiscal compliance with grant/contract requirements, all applicable federal, state, and county Accounting Principles (GAAP) and County financial management standards.
• Prepare status reports of current year subrecipient monitoring site visits, and maintain and evaluate trends in agency compliance.
• Perform detailed review of other department financial and programmatic staff workpapers related to subrecipient monitoring.
• Provide ongoing feedback and training to fiscal and programmatic staff related to subrecipient monitoring and departmental methodology under the guidance of the Department Compliance Manager.
• Provide technical assistance to subrecipient agencies for financial related matters under the guidance of the Department Compliance Manager.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or any equivalent combination of business experience and education.
• Knowledge of accounting and finance.
• Experience with Oracle/EBS, Hyperion and Oracle Reporting Systems.
• Demontrated experience interfacing with external and internal auditors.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing with individuals of diverse backgrounds and at all levels of an organization.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access).
• Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP.
• Understanding multiple funding sources, policies and program requirements.
• Experience with automated financial management systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local audit requirements for grant/contract administration.
