We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Assistant to join a specialist Early years school close to Brixton Station from January.

As a nursery assistant you will be working across the nursery school with 2 – 4 year olds. You will be supporting teachers with play based learning activities both indoors and outdoors. You should have a keen and practical approach and be prepared to get involved at the children’s level. You will be following plans and activities set up by the teacher. You will work with small groups leading learning activities based on the EYFS curriculum. You will also be required to provide verbal and some written feedback on children’s progress. You will be required to assist with the daily tidying, cleaning and up-keep of the school facilities.

This role is based in a nursery school and therefore only open during school hours and in term-time only. There are some opportunities for additional hours in their wrap-around care provision

You should have a good level of spoken English and previous experience working with under 5. The school are interested in both qualified early years staff and those with a good level of previous experience.

The school offers care and education for 2 to 4 year old children from 8.30 – 4.00 during term-time only. The school has excellent standards and pupils leave prepared and ready for primary school. The building is modern and stimulating for children with indoor and outdoor play and learning areas.
