Senior Software Developer

Phillip Capital Inc., a US based Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) and securities broker dealer, and conveniently located in the Chicago loop with easy access to trains, is seeking a motivated Senior Software Developer to join a growing, agile team of developers that build innovative software solutions for its futures and brokerage businesses.

Responsibilities

• Write new software and enhance existing software using Microsoft .NET technologies

• Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to gather requirements and deliver software solutions that align to the strategic direction of the business

• Contribute new ideas to improve software practices and processes

• Submit and conduct peer code reviews

• Contribute to the full life cycle of the development and software rollout process

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the Computer Science, Engineering or related field

• At least 5 years of software development experience in Microsoft technologies (C# .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP .NET, MS SQL) and the Entity Framework

• Familiar with Agile SDLC methodologies and tools (e.g. JIRA, Rally, Azure DevOps)

• Effective communication with peer developers and non-technical audience

• Write comprehensive design and architectural documentation as well as user guide

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Desired Skills

• Experience using a version control system (e.g., Git, SVN)

• Familiarity with TDD and the ability to write unit tests

• Proficient with FIXML/XML

• Proficient with Message Queues or messaging middleware in general

Pay: $100,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
